Earn a Degree

For students who look to attend our university for more than a year and seek to earn a degree. See what programs are available for international students, Degree Programs.

How to Apply:

  1. Apply online through CalStateApply and complete your profile.
  2. Choose CSU - Dominguez Hills as the campus. Select your program of study.
  3. Pay the $70 non-refundable application fee.
  4. Please submit your supplemental application documents to the International Applicant Documents Dropbox folder. For a tutorial on merging multiple documents, please review this video. All packets should include the coversheet with your name and CSUDH Toro ID#.
    • Proof of English Proficiency. Official TOEFL or academic IELTS score to California State University, Dominguez Hills. The institution code for ETS is 4098
    • Students outside the US, email original and certified English copies of transcripts from all institutions attended. Once admitted, you will be required to bring your official documents to our office when you arrive in the US.
    • If transferring from a US institution, request official transcripts to be mailed directly to the university, or if electronic, emailed to admissions@shorinji-kempo.net
    • Submit financial support affidavit and a bank statement or financial guarantee to: f1visa@shorinji-kempo.net

*Graduate program applicants must check the appropriate graduate program website for further application requirements, such as program specific application form, GRE/ GMAT score, recommendation letter, etc. Some graduate programs have earlier application and document deadlines. ESL Students

The American Language and Culture Program (ALCP) offers an Intensive English Program (IEP) that is designed to assist individuals achieve their academic or professional goals. There are different levels in the program, and ALCP offers English waivers for conditionally admitted students. Through the ALCP Bridge program, students in Level 6 or above can combine intensive English with one or two university courses.

Conditional Admission - Conditional admission is available to academically qualified applicants without English proficiency who receive guaranteed admission to CSU Dominguez Hills and selected local community colleges. Interested students must apply to CSUDH and ALCP to have their application processed. Contact the International Outreach Office for further information on conditional admission.

  • US $100 non-refundable application fee
  • Financial verification (bank statement/financial guarantee) Must show:
    • Study Abroad America (SAA): A minimum of $12,000 USD for one semester, or $25,000 if planning to study here for an academic year;
    • Intensive English Program only: $11,500 USD
  • Financial Affidavit form
  • Copy of passport (picture page only)
  • Study Abroad America Program additional documents required:
    • English proficiency score report (TOEFL or Academic IELTS)
    • A copy of your most recent academic transcripts

Study Abroad America (SAA) is offered through ALCP. SAA allows international students to take university courses to gain university credits while experiencing American culture.
